Coaching Development - New and Upcoming Courses
Submitted By Tom Anderson on Friday, April 14, 2017
The following updates are from Ringette Canada and are applicable to new coaches, and tenured coaches interested in continuing in their coaching development.

The new Coach Initiation in Sport course is being offered by the Coaching Association of Canada and will officially replace the Ringette Introduction to Coaching course.

Anyone who is new to coaching is required to take a Coach Initiation in Sport module.  In the past, new coaches were required to attend the Introduction to Coaching clinic in person.  The new course is now available online, and until August 2, 2017 this module will be free. All potential new coaches are encouraged to complete the module while it is free -  as of August 3rd, the module will cost $15.

Ringette Canada has also stated that tenured coaches who have already completed NCCP courses would receive PD (professional development) points for completing this module. The module takes approximately 1 hour to complete and is available through the following link:

If you have an interest in attending this training please contact Karla Xavier, Technical Director, Ontario Ringette Association
