Pickering Ringette Association is proud to be celebrating it's 50th Anniversary
and our 2018 Pickering Tournament Committee is already hard at work to deliver a fantastic tournament experience.
This year, we look forward to hosting teams at almost every level from across Ontario and Quebec
for what promises to be an exciting weekend of The Fastest Sport on Ice:  

Regional - U8, U9, U10, U12, 18+ B (Co-ed)
Regional - U14, U16
Provincial A - U12P, U14A, U16A, U19A
Provincial AA- U16AA, 18+

Pickering Challenge Cup!!! 

Games: Friday November 30 & Saturday December 1
10:00am, 12:00pm 6:00pm & 8:00pm


Bronze Medal Game:  Sunday December 2 @ 9:00am
Gold Medal Game:  Sunday December 2 @ 11:00am

The Pickering Challenge Cup is one of only three tournement events (and the only one in Ontario) that will help prepare
Team Ontario (U19AAA) on their road to the Canada Winter Games in February.   
Take in the action and cheer on Team Ontario as they compete against the best players across Canada!!!

AND....

Yes, we're using Score2Stats for registration, scheduling and tournament standings
Most divisions will be running 
Semi-Final Games 
Be on the look-out for more raffles, more games, and more FUN... and not to worry...
Our famous peameal bacon sandwiches, homemade chilli and ringette smoothies will be back in 2018!!!

All Ringette Canada and ORA sanctioned event rules will be in effect.



Arenas-
 All games will be held at the Pickering Recreation Complex, (Delaney and O’Brien Arenas - enter through East entrance), the Don Beer Arena, the Ajax Community Centre and Village Arena. The arenas are centrally located, 5 minutes from each other, and just off Highway 401 (Brock Road exit and Salem Road exit). Arena Registration Desks, Sign-in and Dressing Room Keys- Upon arrival at the arena, please check in at the registration table to obtain your dressing room assignment and sportsmanship ballots. Please be prepared to leave a set of vehicle keys in exchange for the change room key.  You must return both the room key and the sportsmanship ballot before your keys will be returned.  Please ensure that the change room is left clean before your team leaves.

Don Beer Arena- Upstairs, on top of Pad #1 (stairs and elevator located at WEST end of building)
Pickering Recreation Complex- O’Brien Meeting Room (same location as the Coaches Meeting).

City of Pickering Ice Policy- As a condition of the City’s ice contracts, absolutely no one is permitted to be on the ice unless wearing a helmet (all arenas). Please ensure trainers bring a spare helmet to have on the bench at all times in case they need to attend to an injured player. Before or after games, bench staff are prohibited from stepping on the ice; however, we encourage all players to skate by the opposing team’s bench to shake hands with bench staff.

  • Yes, the Kitchen will be OPEN! Pickering Ringette is famous for its delicious Peameal Bacon Sandwiches! (and chilli, too!). 
  • Yes, both arenas will have large open meeting rooms available for teams that wish to have lunch on site (first come, first serve).  In the Pickering Recreation Centre, teams are welcome to use the O’Brien Meeting Room, and at Don Beer Arena, there will be tables available at the registration area (2nd floor on top of pad 1). We ask teams that use these areas to kindly keep them clean for other users.

The Pickering Recreation Centre has Public Swimming available Fridays (4-5pm and 7-9pm), and Saturdays & Sundays (1-4pm and 7-9pm). Just a few steps west of the Pickering Recreation Complex, you can visit the  Pickering Central Library (open 9:30am- 9pm M-F, 9am- 5pm Sat, 1-5pm Sun) or take in some shopping at the  Pickering Town Centre (open 10am- 9pm M-F, 9:30am- 6pm Sat, 11am-6pm Sun).
