APRA Open Skates

$10 per skater

Goalies free!
All sessions are 1 hour

For those players interested in staying on the ice in advance of tryouts the association will be hosting open skates for our membership. These sessions are optional and open to all APRA players, regardless if you intend to try out for a Provincial team.

Players will skate with their 2019/20 season age groups:

APRA Regional Sorting Skates

Free for all Players!
All sessions are 1 hour

Players wishing to play Regional ringette attend Sorting Skates. APRA requires your attendance to evaluate numbers and will make best efforts to accommodate all interested players on an APRA Regional team next season. Keep in mind these are not tryouts. No one is turned away but assessed and placed on a team that is representative of their age and skill level.

If you are unable to attend your Regional Sorting Skate but wish to play on a Regional team, please contact the President, Pickering Ringette so that you can be included in plans for next season.

Provincial AA and A Tryouts (Ajax U12P, U14A, U16A, U14AA, U19AA)

Next season, Whitby Ringette will be hosting the Central U16AA team and a U19A team. Oshawa Ringette is also hosting a U19A team.

APRA Tryouts
$15 per player, per skate
(APRA will charge APRA players a maximum of $45 for AA and A tryouts)

All tryouts are 1 hour

*** NOTE: players attending Ajax A/AA and Whitby U19A tryouts must register in advance*** Click here to register

Please ensure you are aware of the following heading into tryout season-

All players wishing to play on a Provincial A or AA level team MUST attend their local association tryouts. If a player is unable to attend tryouts, you must make alternative arrangements with your association president.

Players may also wish to attend another association's tryouts. Please consult association websites for dates and ensure you first complete a Player Tryout Notification Form and have it signed by your association president PRIOR TO stepping on another association's ice (Ajax residents send herePickering residents send here).

A player may only ACCEPT a position with another association if they have followed ALL of the above steps, and,

1) They have not been offered a position on a A or AA-level team by their home association

2) Their home association is not icing a team at their age / level for the coming season

The player would then need to obtain an official release from their home association president before being eligible to accept a position on a team in another centre.

GOOD LUCK to all of our players!
