Moving from FUN3 to U12

For our older FUN players, our U12B program is the natural next step in our Ringette Programming. U12B is being offered primarily to our current FUN3 players who will turn 10 or 11 years old during the calendar year of fall registration. However, this program may also be ideal for some current FUN3 players who turn 9 or 12.

Basically, U12 is an extension of the FUN 2/3 Program.

An inter-association House League program is NOT available at the U12+ age groups, so competition takes place with other local associations.

The program continues to centre on fun but has more focus on competition than the FUN 2/3 program.

Additional development opportunities are available which support players interested in future play at A and AA levels.

A Week at a Glance:

Every week - 1 hour practice

Every other week - 1 hour Skills Development/Power Skating

Saturday/Sunday - Games

10 Home and 10 Away League Games could include (but not limited to):

Oshawa
Sunderland
Markham
Barrie
West Muskoka
Newmarket
Richmond Hill

What does it Cost?

There are also variable costs payable to the Team, to pay for optional team expenditures which could include:

• Tournament Costs (max. 3 plus year-end championships)
• Team Off-Ice Uniforms
• Extra Ice Purchases
• Team Socials

(approx. $500 per player which may be offset through team fundraising  ***optional / subject to change**  i.e. decisions on the size of team budgets and whether to include fundraising to offset, fall to the individual teams / parent groups to decide).
